EXCELLIUM LSX 5W-30 rounds off ELF’s range of high-end lubricants
for German carmakers. This is ELF’s first low-SAPS oil, for
vehicles fitted with after-treatment systems.
ELF EXCELLIUM LSX 5W-30 was put on the market at the end of 2004
and is ELF’s first approved product in the category of lubricants
with low sulphated-ash, phosphorus and sulphur content (or Low-SAPS
lubricants). This category of lubricants is for cars with after-treatment
systems such as catalysts and particulate filters. ELF EXCELLIUM
LSX 5W-30 is especially suited to the requirements of German carmakers
and meets the specifications of both Mercedes Benz (MB p. 229.31)
and BMW (BMW Longlife 04) in this area. In addition to its inherent
compatibility with after-treatment systems, this groundbreaking
product provides:

high resistance to oxidation (explaining
the 20,000-km to 40,000-km oil-change intervals), |

improved resistance to wear (making
it compatible with the Valvetronic system), |

outstanding engine cleanliness at low
and high temperatures. |
